In honor of Veterans Day on November 11th, Carolina Trust is celebrating our veteran employees and Board volunteers all month long with Living Local Carolina Segments and billboard campaigns. If you're looking for ways to show appreciation to veterans in your life this Veterans Day, check out the list below.

1. Thank Them For Their Service

Personally thanking veterans for their service to our country is such an easy way to show appreciation. The men and women who served our country deserve so much daily gratitude, but a simple "thank you" is a great way to start.

2. Fly A Flag Outside of Your Home

You can show your support at home by flying an American flag on your porch or in your front yard. However, if you decide to fly a flag outside of your home, be sure to follow proper flag etiquette.

3. Volunteer

Reach out to local veteran organizations such as American Legion or Veteran Affairs to see how you can volunteer. You can also do an act of service for a veteran you know, such as cooking a meal or raking leaves.

4. Attend a Veterans Day Service

Attend a local Veterans Day celebration with friends and family to show gratitude to those who served. Here are a few Veterans Day services in the grand strand area.

5. Make a Care Package

You can make a care package to send troops and show your appreciation of their service. Although this impacts active military more than veterans, it is a great way to thank those currently serving our country.
