Have you grabbed your copy of the October Grand Strand Magazine? You'll definitely want to grab one and check out the Women in Business Edition, featuring profiles of some of our area's most prominent businesswomen.
This year for the Women in Business edition, Carolina Trust chose to recognize the special group of women who have been a part of our Credit Union family for over 15+ years. All of the women wore pink attire for their photo to support breast cancer awareness. During the month of October, Carolina Trust employees will also be wearing pink ribbons, to support the cause
In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a portion of the Women in Business section's proceeds will be donated to Caring in Our Lifetime, which assists local women and men suffering from breast cancer.
Caring In Our Lifetimes is a non- profit organization that provides financial assistance with medical expenses to individuals in Horry and Georgetown counties affected by breast cancer. Caring in Our Lifetime was founded in 1997 as a means for the sales staff at Time Warner Cable in Myrtle Beach, SC, to assist one of its former co-workers who had been diagnosed with breast cancer.
After the first year, Caring In Our Lifetime breast cancer charity auction was officially formed to assist local breast cancer survivors with financial needs. The effort has continued annually to help many more survivors with their medical bills related to breast cancer.
